Welcome
Welcome to the website of the Manchester Gospel Choir, particularly if you have found us by accident. We hope you'll stay and browse our pages to discover a bit more about us.
Who are we?
The choir members are from churches throughout the Greater Manchester area who really love singing and sharing the joy that their faith and music brings, both with our audiences and each other.
Our musical director is Margaret Ferguson, a professional singer, who has performed at major national and international events and on radio and television. The choir's regular accompanist is Jonathan Ellis, a professional pianist who has played at many major venues.
Several of the choir's members first met when they joined the Commonwealth Games Choir which opened the Manchester Games in 2002. If you'd like to know more, read about our Background.
If you want to know what we sound like then you can listen to a recording of our live performance on ITV's Granada Reports on the 23rd December 2009 or take a look at our YouTube page.
If you think you might like to join the choir (or come along to a rehearsal to see if it's for you), hear us or are considering Booking the choir, then please feel free to Contact Us to find out more.
